What's Your Blessing?

Hi, this is Candace,

Today, Inside the Open Door Mission we have been blessed….

• A big thank you to Lisa and her group of junior and senior high students from United Methodist Church who are spending their valuable evening volunteering at the Timberlake Outreach Center. They are helping sort, organize and stock the shelves so low income families and individuals can come supplement their income and prevent homelessness.

• Charlene and Mary Lou from Overland Hills Baptist Church are here tonight ministering through a Bible Study to the single women living in emergency area of the Lydia House.

• Steve and his group from Countryside Church are spending part of their evening volunteering in the kitchen and pantry. Part of the group are helping stock and organize the pantry while others are helping prepare and serve the hot nutritious meal to the many hungry and homeless men, women, and children.



As hot weather fast approaches us, Open Door Mission is in need of bottled water to hand out on water patrol, sun screen to give to the 300 children that are attending Bible day camp and fans to hand out at the Timberlake Outreach Center to the many that are looking to get some relief from the hot weather. You can help by organizing a beat the heat drive today. Call Maggie at 422-1111.
