What's Your Blessing?

Hi, this is Candace,

Today, Inside the Open Door Mission we have been blessed….

• A big thank you to Lori and Ashley who spent their valuable day volunteering at the Timberlake Outreach Center. They helped sort, organize and stock the shelves so low income families and individuals can come supplement their income and prevent homelessness.

• Marlee volunteered part of her day at the Lydia House helping Ronda and Leann. She helped answer the hot line phone, assist with copying and filing and helped meet the basic needs of the women and families in emergency area of the Lydia House.

• Samantha and her group from community Alliance are spent part of their day volunteering in the kitchen. They helped prepare and serve the hot nutritious meal to the many hungry and homeless men, women, and children.

• Earl and his team all the way from Trenton Missouri will be here tonight ministering in chapel to many hurting men living in the men’s emergency services area.


As hot weather fast approaches us, Open Door Mission is in need of bottled water to hand out on water patrol, sun screen to give to the 300 children that are attending Bible day camp and fans to hand out a the Timberlake Outreach Center to the many that are looking to get some relief from the hot weather. You can help by organizing a beat the heat drive today. Call Maggie at 422-1111.
